Plant Biology
We in the Plant Biology program believe that learning begins in the classroom but is best achieved through hands-on experiences in the laboratory and the field. The undergraduate curriculum is highly flexible and allows the student to select from two degree options (Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science) and the option to either diversify their education broadly across the field of plant biology or to specialize in one of three areas – Ecology, Cellular & Molecular Physiology, or Systematics, Biodiversity & Conservation Biology. Plant Biology faculty help undergraduate students find research opportunities, internships, and work experiences to build practical skills. By coupling a versatile and modern curriculum with participation in top-tier research, students can tailor their undergraduate program to their particular interests and career aspirations.
